About

This is an amateur blog devoted to my love and appreciation for progressive rock music (prog).  I will post reviews of albums both past and present as well as the occassional essay or commentary about bands, artists, concerts, and ontological sonic ephiphanies.

The bands that mean the most to me are progressive (first wave, second wave, third wave, neo-prog, Big Sur wave, etc) but I will also touch upon British Pastoral Rock and Symphonic Rock (e.g. Barclay James Harvest, Renaissance, Moody Blues) and maybe even some Power Metal (e.g. Nightwish, Freedom Call, Blind Guardian).  Look for attention devoted to: BIG BIG TRAIN, FLOWER KINGS, ABEL GANZ, STEVEN WILSON, CAMEL, GENESIS, TRANSATLANTIC, THE TANGENT, NEKTAR, KANSAS, MARILLION, RUSH, and YES, to name a few.
